Students of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, have staged a protest at the school’s gate, following the enforcement of the 14-day Warning Strike embarked upon by the Joint Action Committee, JAC, in Bauchi State tertiaries institutions.
Hundreds of students moved to the gate of the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic and overpowered the security guards who were trying to stop people into the polytechnic, as the 14-day warning strike commenced.
Outside the gate is the highway from Bauchi to Jos, The road was as well blocked.
The students were later overpowered by security personnel who chased them in, getting the reaction of school authorities was not successful, The situation later calmed down.
The students were, however, given two hours to vacate the school premises, with some carrying their properties to their various destinations.
