The police in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory has confirmed that at least two people have been killed and 22 farmers including children and women kidnapped by suspected herdsmen at farms in Rafin Daji, Gurbe Ward in Abaji Area Council.
The incident which occurred in farms at the border community between Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State and the FCT also affected hired farm workers.
The kidnappers who have contacted the family of the victims, have demanded for 12 million Naira as ransom.

The FCT Police Command Deputy Public Relations Officer, Omotayo Oduniyi, said the police has deployed a tactical team to go after the kidnappers and rescue the victims alive.
