Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack: Rail authorities provide casualty update

20 train crew members were among those on board the ill fated kaduna bound train attacked by yet to be identified persons on monday march 28,
the information is contained in a statement released by the nigerian railway corporation on tuesday in continuation of its update on the incident.


Among the 20 crew members, 7 are staff of the railway corporation, 10 are janitors while 3 are on board caterers.
One of the crew members was confirmed dead, seven missing and twelve safe.

The 20 train crew members are among persons whose names were not captured in the travel manifest.
The nigeria railway corporation also says 46 phone numbers on the manifest have either been switched off or not reachable since tuesday, march 29.
33 of the phone lines have been ringing without response, another 62 of the numbers were described as ‘non-existent’.
