There may be multiple industrial action from the end of August, following a threat by the National Association of Academic Technologists, NAAT. down tool from September.
NAAT threat to down tool is coming days after the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, had threatened to resume suspended strike August Ending,
President of NAAT, President, Ibeji Nwokoma who spoke to journalists after a meeting with the executive secretary of TETFund, said government is yet to come out clean with the implementation of the Intergrated payroll and personnel information system, IPPIS for non-ASUU members in the universities.

Ibeji noted that NAAT has its own alternative payment platform, which will fix the weaknesses in the IPPIS.
On the recently approved N8.5 billion for research and development by the federal government, NAAT calls for immediate audit of already acquired equipment before any further funding of R & D, while calling for urgent training and re-training of technologists who are in the forefront of every research.
National Association of Academic Technologists, is a trade union of skilled workers that provide laboratory services, practical teaching, learning and research in tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
