International Civil rights organization, Actionaid Nigeria has slammed the federal and state governments for making huge borrowings at the tail end of their tenure.

Actionaid Nigeria is also calling on the Federal government to declare a state of emergency on education to end the strike by Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, among other issues.

Apart from what it describes as ‘strangulating” borrowing by governments, Actionaid wants anti-graft agencies to expand their searchlight.

On the 2023 general election, the group wants Citizens to vote wisely, while also recommending the decentralization of the Nigeria Police to tackle the spate of insecurity.
