Activities Heighten At Ex President Buhari’s Residence in Daura Ahead of Burial

AIT in Daura, Katsina State has reported that high-profile Nigerians, including serving and former political figures, Governors and Ministers have started trooping into the residence of the late President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

Those who arrived early include; Buhari’s Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amachi; Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed; former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello; Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Audu; former Governor of Sokoto State, Waziri Aminu Tambowal.

Others present are; former Vice president Atiku Abubakar; former Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika; serving and former Senators who are of diverse political Po arty leanings.

The plurality in both political, religious and ethnic colouration of the dignitaries who have arrived for the funeral is a testament that the late President Buhari had made indelible imprints in the country’s life.

Reports from Katsina Airport indicate that the Vice President Kashim Shetiman has arrived at the State capital with the body of the former late President where a some state ceremonies will take place before heading to Daura, his home town.

At the time of this report, the Air strip located close to the late Buhari’s residence in Daura is full with a large crowd of sympathizers awaiting his body to be brought in.

The Daura town itself is heavily policed with men of the Armed forces, police and other security agencies.
