Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has officially flagged off the distribution of shelter kits to One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Six households severely affected by the 2024 floods across five local government areas.
Speaking at the distribution event in Imburu, Numan Local Government Area, Governor Fintiri announced that each affected household would receive Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira to aid in rebuilding homes devastated by last year’s floods.
The launch for the intervention was Numan, covering other affected local government areas to include Michika, Madagali, Demsa and Lamurde being the worst hit.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri sympathized with the affected communities and disclosed that, in this case, delay is not denial
In a remark, the State Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Humanitarian Services, Hamman Bello Diram explained that the beneficiaries were identified through biometric process
Beneficiaries appreciated the Governor’s intervention and assured that they would utilize the assistance for the purpose intended.
