Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State says, apart from his resolve to upgrade sports facilities in the state, where all local government areas will have a stadium, his administration has begun a talent hunt for young footballers.

The final was a clash between the football teams from Yola North Local Government Area and Jada Local Government Area.
The teams played goalless at full time and had to be decided through a penalty shootout that ended 4:2 in favour of the Jada team.
