Women in Adamawa State, irrespective of. their political parties have turned up in large numbers to demand the declaration of incumbent Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri as the returned and elected Governor in the March 18th Governorship Election that has been declared inconclusive.

The women called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to ensure that the re-run, fixed for April 15th, is done in fairness, and by the provision of the law.

In their thousands, they gathered at the Mahmud Ribadu Square Yola, from all nooks and crannies of the state, to demand that INEC announces Governor Ahmadu Fintiri as re-elected, or ensure that results of the Supplementary Election, fixed for the state, to hold on April 15th, are not tampered with.

They wondered why the All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Candidate, Aishatu Dahiru, is so desperate to cling to power when she did not win the election, an attitude they claimed, no responsible woman should be found with.

The women vehemently condemned protests at the INEC office in Abuja, staged by some women, who claimed to be from Adamawa, whereas they are not.

The protesting women were said to be requesting that the mandate be illegally given to Senator Aishatu Dahiru, also known as Binani, even when the elections were yet to be concluded

The women lamented that such an attitude of Binani is capable of denying the women folk, opportunities in the political space, following her desperation, which portrays her as an opportunist
