As the attack on the Osun state governor continues to generate reactions, one of the major actors in the clash who is also a former spokesperson of the Nigeria senate, senator Ajibola Bashiru has denied any altercation with the state governor.
Senator Bashiru who narrated the issue surrounding the misunderstanding, blamed some supporters of the governor for the attack.

The Governor, in a statement by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, thanked God for preserving him and his team, directing law enforcement agents to arrest those behind the incident.
Olawale added that the government, particularly notes with shock and surprise, the role played by former Senator, Ajibola Bashiru, who took over the space reserved for the Governor at the praying ground and all efforts to get the former Senator to vacate the space proved abortive.
