The Police Authority in Zamafara State has revealed that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure a hitch- free Sallah celebration

The Commissioner of Police, Usman Nagogo in a press statement by the Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Shehu says, the personnel will cover all the praying grounds as well as the highways, to forestall any security breaches.

The Commissioner of Police has, therefore, directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and the various Tactical Commanders to ensure that they cover their Areas of Responsibility through aggressive Stop and Search, rigorous patrols, as well as raiding of criminal hideout areas.

The statement says CP Nagogo enjoins members of the public to be security-conscious and report all suspicious movements to the nearest police station, for prompt action.

The statement further warns all and sundry to abide by the rules and regulations, meant for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in Zamfara state.

The police say, it is also working hard to ensure hitch free Sallah celebration in the fourteen local government areas of the state.
