Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke and 6 others have pleaded not guilty to all the charges levied against them by the Federal Government over allegations of embezzling $1.2 billion in Malabu Oil deal.
The defendants pleaded not guilty after the 42-count charge was read to them.In a bail application, the Prosecution Counsel, Bala Sanga urged the court to remand the defendants in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service while the Defence Counsel pleaded with the court that the defendants should still be remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Trial judge, Justice Idris Kutugi has adjourned the bail application till January 27, 2020. The trial which was supposed to take place on Wednesday was stalled due to non-service of the charge on some of the defendants.
