The Super Eagles of Nigeria will now play Guinea in a friendly match ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Burkina Faso were also considered for the friendly but the Nigeria Football Federation NFF has now reached an agreement with their Guinean counterpart.
The warm-up game will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on January 9.
The Syli Nationale of Guinea like the Super Eagles are also preparing in Abu Dhabi for the competition.
The Super Eagles will fly back to Nigeria the following day on their way to Abidjan.
Their first game is against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, January 14.
