The Super Eagles camp for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya will open in Uyo on Sunday.

Augustine Eguavoen’s side will be based in Ikot Ekpene.

Eguavoen is expected to unveil his squad for the games this week.

According to the report, all arrangements have been finalised for the camp, and players are expected to arrive this weekend, with training set to begin on Monday.

Nigeria will face Libya in two back-to-back matches this October, with the first leg scheduled to take place on October 11 at the Akwa Ibom Stadium in Uyo.

They will travel to Benina to face same opponents on Tuesday, October 15.

The Super Eagles will be looking to build on their strong start to the AFCON qualifiers, having defeated Benin Republic 3-0 in their opening match and secured a goalless draw against Rwanda in Kigali.

Nigeria currently top Group D with four points from two games.

Libya, on the other hand, have struggled in Group D, currently sitting at the bottom after a 1-1 home draw with Rwanda and a 1-2 defeat to Benin Republic

Nigeria will hope to secure maximum points from these matches to strengthen their position for a place at AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
