The Super Eagles of Nigeria are expected to resume camping in Uyo on September 1 ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda,
The team’s officials said backroom staff will be in Uyo from September 1, and expect most of the players to arrive in good time.
The three-time African champions will host the Cheetahs of Benin Republic on September 7 at 5 pm at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo and fly out to Rwanda, three days later for the second AFCON qualifier.
The Eagles are currently without a coach, and the Nigeria Football Federation is delaying the appointment of a new handler after Finidi George’s exit from the team in June.

A 35 member list of invited players was initially released by the football house earlier but has been trimmed to 25.
Reports say Technical director Austin Eguavoen will lead the Eagles in the two Qualifying games.
The NFF is however considering either former Sweden coach Janne Andersson or Hervé Renard, who has a vast experience in African football, having coached the national teams of Zambia, Angola, Ivory Coast, and Morocco as Eagles substantive Coach.
