The most cherished football Championship prize in Africa, The Afcon Trophy, has arrived in Cameroon and is kept in the Country’s Prime Minister’s office.
Cameroon Minister of Sports and Physical Education Prof Narcisise Mouelle Kombi confirmed that the trophy arrived in his office on Tuesday 7th of December.
The Minister says that the AFCON Organising Committee will take the caravan to the streets of the capital City from where it will be taken to other hosting sites.

The coveted golden trophy had a brief stay in Nigeria Algeria, Ghana and Malawi before arriving Cameroon.
In a bid to light up the atmosphere across the country 30days to the competition, Mola, the mascot of the tournament will also parade all ten regional capitals.
Algeria is the Defending champion of the Afcon trophy won in 2019.
Cameroon is the second African country after Egypt to host the competition featuring 24 teams.
