Yoruba Socio-cultural Group, Afenifere has asked Former Nigerian President,Olusegun Obasanjo to tender an unreserved public Apology to traditional rulers who were at an event where he ordered them to stand up in respect for authority
The Group rising from its monthly meeting held at the country home of its national leader,Pa Reuben Fasoranti in Akure, Ondo state said no effort must be spared to prevent the rubishing of our noble tradition.

The Former President Olusegun Obasanjo gave the order for traditional rulers present at the commissioning of a 34.85 km Oyo-Iseyin Road and the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Iseyin, to Stand up and greet him.
The development has generated several reactions and public outcry, and the latest of such is from Yoruba Socio-cultural Group, Afenifere.
Rising from its monthly meeting, Afenifere wants the former President to tender unreserved apology to the traditional institution describing the action as an attempt to ridicule the respected Obaship institution in Yorubaland.
The Group also called on President Bola Tinubu and Governors in the south west region to carefully review the present situation on social, economic, security and political situation in the country.
Afenifere concluded that they remain stronger and more cohesive in promoting and protecting the overall interest of Yorubas within the country.
