The Rivers Hoopers Basketball Club of Port Harcourt on Monday evening rounded off their training session in Port Harcourt, ahead of the Group stage encounter of the African Basketball League in Dakar, Senegal.
Head coach of the team, Ogoh Odaudu said the early arrival of the foreign players, had afforded the team enough time to blend.
At the last training session, the Coach and players told ait.live that their preparations had to be intense because they want to make the match comfortable for themselves and unbearable for their opponents, so as to book a ticket to the championship proper slated for Kigali, Rwanda.
Coach Ogoh Odaudu and the home players said the foreign players have really added value to the team.
One of the foreign imports, William Perry, a point guard from the United States of America, told Journalists that he has really enjoyed his stay in Port Harcourt and cannot wait for the group stage to begin.
The Rivers Hoopers’ last experience on the continental league was not impressive, as they could not make it past the group stages.
