Africa’s first satellite TV station, AIT clocks 27

The leadership Of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ DAAR Communications Plc congratulates the Chairman, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr, the Board, Management and Staff of DAAR Communications Plc as Africa Independent Television, AIT clocks 27 years of consistent broadcasting in Nigeria and overseas.

The NUJ DAAR Chairman, Patrick Abulu in a congratatory Message, describes AIT as the “Mother of All Private Broadcast Stations in Nigeria” and Africa’s most watched Television station, on line, on satellite and in the Terrestial feeds.

The NUJ DAAR says with undeniable coverages and transmission of scentillating programmes; News, Sports, Soaps, Current Affairs, Politics and Events, reaching millions across the globe, the first satellite television station has been blazing the trail.

The NUJ DAAR Chairman commends the Company’s Chairman, Board and Management fòr bracing up to keep improving quality and standards, while maintaining and upholding the legacies of the founder and visioner, High Chief Aleogho Dokpesi, of blessed memory.

For the AIT Management, the NUJ DAAR charges it to strengthen viewer-delight programming and introduce more innovative ones to fit into a fast growing digitally-inclined and competitive industry.

Abulu encourages staff members, families, friends, partners and associates, to spare a moment of prayer for the Dokpesi family, the Board, Management and staff, for bigger achievements, even after the demise of DAAR Founder, High Chief Dokpesi.
