Angry youths in the Agugu area of Ibadan the Oyo State capital have attacked a joint security task force which left a police officer seriously injured.
According to reports made available to ait.live, the youths had suspected that the team including men of the operation burst, police, and amotekun corps were in the area to make an arrest of those involved in the recent #EndSARS protest that saw some police officers killed and many police stations burnt.
Oyo state police PRO, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident in a phone chat with ait.live.
He said the injured officer is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

The scribe also confirmed that some of the youths were arrested and investigation is ongoing.
