Nigerian international footballer, Ahmed Musa, has lashed out at Nigerian political leaders, for their inability to resolve the five-month-old strike by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities, ASUU.

Musa in a post on his social media handles accused the Nigerian political office holders of insulting the sensitivities of Nigerians by posting on social media, pictures of their children graduating from foreign universities.

The post reads in the quote, “…to our political office holders whose children school abroad, how do you feel, visiting your children abroad, taking pictures in their schools and posting it online, while ASUU is on strike…end of quote.

The former Nigerian Super Eagles Captain went on to say it is a surprise that Nigerian political leaders are running a system they do not believe in, as he challenged them to present any European with a child schooling in Nigeria.

The post further read in quotes that, “…and when you return, Nigerian youths will still gather and sing praises for una…” end of quote.

On Monday, President Muhammadu Buhari said, enough is enough, on the ASUU strike, and wants the lecturers to return to the classrooms, but this comment has not come without attack from ASUU President, who spoke to AIT’s Abulu Osemuaghu on phone, saying such comments coming from Mr President is strange.
