Some Muslim public office holders have urged other faithful across Nigeria to ensure that they have a deep knowledge and understanding of the Holy Quran in the ongoing Ramadan period in order to reflect the teachings in their lifestyles.
Speaking at a Ramadan lecture in Abuja on “Islam: Panacea to peace and unity”, former Kano State Governor and serving senator, Ibrahim Shekarau who was the chief guest speaker advised the gathering that true believers of Islam should support the Federal Government to win the war against terrorism, banditry and other related challenges confronting the country.
Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao and other guest speakers at the lecture urged Muslim faithful to respect other religions and should not impose Islam on them but to love them as the Almighty Allah has directed.
