Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar says, he is satisfied with the extensive progress being made by officers and men of the Nigerian Air Force, in ensuring that the Boko Haram terrorists are eliminated in the North East, so that the people can go back to their farms and live their normal lives.
Abubakar was speaking in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital while on a visit to interact with his men.
He said has been monitoring with delight, the activities of men of the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole in the last few months, starting with Operation Long Range One, and now Long Range Two.
The Air Chief is pleased, with the synergy between the Air Task Force, and the Theatre Command of Operation Lafiya Dole, to facilitate enabling environment, for the ground troops to operate.
He therefore urged his officers and men to continue, and ensure that everything is done to secure the North East, and indeed, the entire country.
He assures them of the commitment of the Nigerian Government, to support their operations, in terms of training, equipment and the welfare requirements, to discharge assigned tasks effectively
