The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation FASAN YAMMA, has neutralized several terrorists in a coordinated air and ground assault, on Makakkari Forest in Zamfara State.
According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigeria Air Force, Headquarters, Abuja, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, on 10 August, the Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma recorded another major victory against bandits in Zamfara.
The operation was carried out based on Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, (ISR), that had confirmed movements of over 400 bandits, planning to invade a farming community.

It added that the operation involved precision airstrikes and ground assaults, resulting in the deaths of several notorious kingpins, and scores of their foot soldiers.
The success of the operations is attributed to the synergy between the air and land components, that made the operation exceptional.
