Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has urged public servants and political office holders in the state to remain committed to the effective implementation of his administration’s agenda in 2026.
Governor Aiyedatiwa made the call on Monday in Akure during the 2026 First Working Day Prayer Meeting, marking the official commencement of work for the new year.
The Governor said the gathering was organised to thank God for the successful completion of the outgoing year and to seek divine guidance for the year ahead.
He stated that his administration is pursuing economic growth aimed at transforming Ondo State from a predominantly civil service–driven economy into an industrial powerhouse.
Governor Aiyedatiwa assured workers of the continued prompt payment of salaries, regular promotions, and steady payment of gratuities, while also calling on residents of the state to support government programmes and policies.
The governor further assured that the 2026 budget would be strictly and effectively implemented to deliver tangible dividends of governance to the people.
