Aiyedatiwa Takes Over As New Ondo Governor

Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has been sworn-in as the substantive Governor of Ondo state.

This follows the passing of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Wednesday, 27th December, 2023 after a proctacted battle with Prostate cancer.

Aiyedatiwa ran a joint ticket with late Governor Akeredolu in the 2020 Governorship election.

Aiyedatiwa becomes the fifth Governor of the state.

He was sworn-in in line with the 1999 constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria as amended.

The swearing in was supervised by the state Chief Judge,Olusegun Odusola.
