Aggrieved professors at the University of Abuja want President Bola Tinubu to dissolve the governing board of the institution and sack the vice chancellor, Professor Aisha Maikudi over alleged fraud in the process of selecting her.
The professors, led by Ralph Akinfeleye submitted a petition to the President, through Education Minister, Tunji Alausa shortly after a protest in front of the Ministry headquarters on Tuesday.
The professors argue that the stipulated years of experience in appointing a vice-chancellor has also been violated.
At the time of this report, no reaction had been received from the Ministry of Education on the matter.
