In response to rising concerns by residents over the deteriorating state of Ogoja-Bekwarra-Katsina Ala Road, Senate President Godswill Akpabio has called for patience, assuring that funds for repairing the road will be captured in the 2025 budget.
Speaking during his visit to Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu in Calabar, Akpabio stressed that the issue is not peculiar to the Ogoja-Bekwarra-Katsina Ala Road as other major roads across the country, including the Calabar-Itu Road are posing similar problem.

Akpabio blamed past administration for the neglect but emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s government is committed to addressing infrastructure challenges and improving citizens’ welfare.
