Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential aspirant, Senator Godswill Akpabio says he shares a vision to develop the country similar to that of late former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

Akpabio said this while meeting with the Katsina State National Delegates of the party.
He also promised to consolidate on the successes recorded by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The former Minister said the insecurity bedevilling the nation will be a thing of the past when he becomes president.

He said he will deploy the method developed by late President Yar’adua, to tackle the Niger Delta region over insecurity.

He said he will also continue from where President Buhari stopped, by banking on the successes recorded and building upon the areas of weakness.

He also pledged to unite the country as he did in Akwa Ibom as Governor of the state, where he declared free education, and paid for the examination fees for many indigenes and non-indigenes resident in the state

Governor Aminu Masari, said any aspirant wishing to get the party’s ticket, needs to build on the successes recorded by President Buhari, by believing in the unity and progress of the country.

He said for Akpabio to have supported the late President Yar’adua during the Amnesty Programme for the Niger Delta when they were in different political parties, shows his commitment to the Nigerian Project.
