Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, has hinted at the dissolution of all boards agencies and commissions in the state.
Governor Eno dropped the hint at Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital while inaugurating boards of some agencies in the state after questioning their commitment.
The Akwa Ibom Investments Corporation, AKICORP and the State Infrastructure/Assets Management and Maintenance Agency, boards of two very important agencies were up for inauguration and Governor Umo Eno while outlining his expectations used the opportunity to express his displeasure at the attitude of the boards of agencies and commissions and vowed to dissolve them.
Eno expressed confidence on the caliber of professionals chosen to drive the agencies and admonished against any form of tribalism and nepotism.
Executive Chairman of the State Infrastructure/Assets Management and Maintenance Agency, Udo Umoatan and that of AKICORP, Ide Owodiong-Idemeko all expressed joy at the appointments and saw it as a call to duty.
The Governor also hinted at the inauguration of the boards of other key agencies next week.
