The wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Patience Eno has passed on.
In a statement by the state Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong said the First Lady passed peacefully following an undisclosed illness at a hospital on Thursday the 26th of September in the presence of her family.
The statement further stated the submission of the family to the will of the Almighty God and asked for prayers and support while further details would be given.
The statement also maintained that despite the loss, Governor Eno’s commitment to the service of the state remains unwavering.
