Akwa Ibom State now has a new Commissioner of Police.
He is Amiengheme Andrew.
In a chat with journalists in Uyo, the state capital, he promised that there would be no hiding place for criminals in the state, no matter how highly placed.
The new Police helsman inspected a parade by men of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command to welcome him
He said his tenure would witness a difference, particularly in combating sexual offences.
He assured that his wealth of experience on the job would be brought to bear in the performance of his duties, with new measures and strategy.

CP Andrew is the 30th Commissioner of Police in the state.
He replaces Imohimi Edgal.
He appealed to the people of the state to partner with the police for the effective policing of the state.
