Akwa Ibom Governor, Dr. Umo Eno

Akwa Ibom Governor, Dr. Umo Eno says any building within Uyo Capital City without the necessary approvals will be pulled down no matter whose owns the property.

Governor Eno said this at the flag -off of construction work on the Judiciary Village in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital.

Incidents of building collapse and flooding due to construction of buildings on waterways has become a thorny issue in national development. Expressing concern about the issue, Governor Eno has given the relevant government bodies marching orders to ensure that any property that does not meet the required standards should be taken down.

Judiciary workers in Akwa Ibom have cause to smile as the housing estate, exclusive for them, will soon see the light of the day with the flag-off of construction of work which Governor Eno pointed out underscores the importance of that arm of government.

The State Chief Judge, Justice Ekaette Obot thanked the Governor for the kind gesture.

The Governor maintained that the numerous ongoing projects across the state are creating jobs which the youths should take advantage of.
