Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno says he will not tolerate excuses from appointees working with him as they will be fired immediately if they fall short of his expectations. He said this at the swearing in of new permanent secretaries in Uyo, the state capital.
Though Governor Umo Eno cuts the figure of a friendly and peaceful man, behind those looks lie a tough and uncompromising mien when it comes to service delivery. He recently fired one of his aides for not meeting his expectations.
At the swearing in of 12 new permanent secretaries, Eno bared his fangs when he read the riot act to those working with. He picked holes in the performances of some agencies and vowed to take action.

The Governor charged the new permanent secretaries to ensure the full implementation of his ARISE agenda.
According to the Akwa Ibom State Chief Executive, the permanent secretaries will be reshuffled for fresh energy and innovations in the state civil service.
