The State structure of the Young Progressives Party in Akwa Ibom State has been officially received into the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Receiving the YPP members at the APC Stakeholders meeting in Uyo, the state chairman of the APC, Stephen Ntukekpo said with the merger, APC in Akwa Ibom Is stronger and better positioned to take over power in the state.

It was a coming together of topnotch politicians in Akwa Ibom State at the official reception of the YPP structure, led by its governorship candidate in the last election, Senator Albert Akpan.
Senator Albert described the event as historic, adding that the coming of YPP into the APC is to make the Broom Party stronger.

The State Chairman of APC, Stephen Ntukekpo charged the new members to register officially at their various wards, adding that the APC is better positioned for a more successful political future in the state.
The former State Chairman of YPP, Apostle Nyeneime Andy said they decided to join the APC to support President Bola Tinubu, and the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio in the task of delivering good governance to Nigerians
Other speakers expressed hope that the fusion of YPP into the APC will deliver the State to APC.
The stakeholders’ meeting was attended by the leadership of both YPP and APC in the State.
