A security tactical command centre is to be established in Akwa Ibom State, South-South Nigeria to ensure more efficient security operations.
Governor Umo Eno made this known in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital while handing over 20 patrol vehicles to security agencies in the state.
Security is a key component of the ARISE Agenda of Governor Eno and he has matched words with action by setting up the Ministry of Internal and Waterways Security. He has given support to the security agencies by donating vehicles and security devices and he says he was ready to do more .

Commissioner for Internal and Waterways Security, Brigadier-General Koko Essien (Rtd) pointed out that the vehicles were fully equipped with security and communication gadgets.
State Commissioner of Police, CP Waheed Ayilara, who received the vehicles on behalf of other security agencies, gave kudos to the Governor for always supporting them.
The State Government had earlier this year donated 14 gun boats to the Nigerian Navy for patrol of the water ways.
