The Nigerian Premier League Champions, Akwa United of Uyo on Friday 17th September, flew out of Nigeria to Algiers, for the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round match, against the CR Belouizdad on Sunday.
The contingent onboard the Ibom Air, first landed in Abuja for Custom checks and clearance, before embarking on a five-hour flight from Abuja to Algiers.

The Promise Keepers, hold the advantage going into the second leg in Algiers after a 1-0 win over CR Belouizdad last Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

24 players, five coaches, backroom staff, and other top officials of the club, made the trip to Algeria.
