The Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia has expressed sadness over the death of a former Military Administrator of Benue State, Joshua Obademi.
Obademi, who died on Friday, May 10th, 2024, at the age of 73, was an Administrator of Benue State, during the military regime of Late General Sani Abacha, from December 1993 to August 1996.
In a statement by his chief press secretary Kula Tersoo the Governor described the late military administrator as someone who was dedicated, and contributed greatly to the development of Benue, especially through the promotion of functional literacy for women in the state.
He said the functional literacy programme of the late Obademi, helped in the improvement of health and economic development of the State, adding that the history of Benue State will be incomplete without the contributions of the late Military Administrator.
While he prayed to God to grant his immediate family members, friends, the people of Benue and Ondo States and Nigeria as whole, the fortitude to bear this great loss, the governor also prayed God to grant the late Military Administrator eternal rest.
