Programmes Director of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, Michael Oluwagbemi has said that all States in Nigeria are expected to have at least one CNG conversation centre in the next sixty days.

Oluwagbemi disclosed this in Ilorin the Kwara State capital during the first handing over of the conversion site in the state to the technical partners, where he noted that Nigerians will begin to pay less for the cost of transportation in the next coming months.

Michael Oluwagbemi who noted that the CNG is far cheaper and better for the country, maintained that the conversion from PMS compliant vehicles to CNG will bring down cost of transportation.

Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq said official vehicles within the coffers of the State government will all be converted to CNG.

The Federal government through the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI) had earlier declared its intention to convert about one million petrol powered vehicles in Nigeria to Compressed Natural Gas compliant by 2027.
