Bauchi state Police command has Confirmed and ordered an investigation into the crisis that erupted in Warji LG in Bauchi state North East Nigeria on Friday.
In a press statement issued by the command spokes person Ahmed wakil, on 20th may 2022, some irate Youths set Six Houses and seven shops ablaze, while scores of persons were injured as a result of a Blasphemous message allegedly posted on social media by one Rhoda Jatau, a staff of the Medical department in Warji local Government.
According to the statement, the police Commissioner Umar Sanda ordered the deployment of tactical Teams, Mobile Police force and Rapid Response Squad whose joint efforts brought the situation under control.
Umar Sanda urged Religious Leaders, Community Leaders and Elders to always speak to Youths to desist from anything that could tamper with the security of their areas.
