Bauchi State Governor and Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Bala Mohammed says he is in support of Senator Abdul Ningi, for saying the truth.
Governor Bala Mohammed said the issue should be investigated and not placing the senator under suspension
The governor said this while presiding over the State Executive Council Meeting in Bauchi.
Following the suspension of the Senator representing Bauchi Central, Abdul Ningi, over his recent address to journalists, alleging that over three point seven trillion Naira was padded into the 2024 budget appropriation, Bauchi State Governor, who doubles as the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Bala Mohammed, said that as an opposition, he feels dismayed over the suspension of Senator Abdul Ningi, for saying the truth.
On the issue of economic hardship and the high cost of living being experienced in the country, Governor Bala Mohammed, said there is need for the Federal Government to do more in looking into the situation.
As the month of Ramadan sets in, Governor Bala Mohammed said his administration will soon come up with other palliative measures to mitigate effects of the hardship.
