The twenty eight thousand trucks of rice bearing the name and picture of President Bola Tinubu, which was allegedly diverted in Kano State do not belong to the Federal or State Governments, but a project sponsored by a private individual in support of president Bola Tinubu.
Chairman of the Kano State Anti Corruption and Public Complaint Commission, Muhuyi Magai gave the update at a News Conference to clarify the development after making some arrests.

A few days after sealing of the warehouse over the allegation of diversion of palliative by the Federal Government found there, the Muhuyi Magai led Anti Corruption Commission commenced investigation into the development and later briefed journalists of the commission’s findings.
The commission says continuing with the investigation will be dependent on the body language of the sponsor whose identity is not yet known.
The anti graft agency expressed it’s commitment to fighting corruption while also protecting human rights.
