INEC has suspended the Electoral Officer In Jos North Over Alleged Involvement In Missing Ballot Papers For Plateau North Re-run Election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) took action by suspending Fred Ogboji, the electoral officer in charge of Jos North local government, following the disappearance of Federal House of Representatives ballot papers from 16 polling units in the area.
Recall that voters in thirteen Polling Units of Tudun Wada-Kabong Ward and 3 Units in Naraguta B Ward could not vote on Saturday because ballot papers were reported to have gone missing.

Isah Idakwo, the head of electoral operations at the INEC Plateau state office, announced the suspension as part of an ongoing investigation into the missing ballot papers incident in Jos North.
Oliver Agundu, the Plateau state INEC resident electoral commissioner for INEC also disclosed that the suspended officer has since been arrested and will be investigated, while assuring the public that the commission is committed to ensuring that every eligible voter can participate in the electoral process.
