Commanders of Amotekun in the south west have assured of their Continued commitment to ensuring safety of lives and property of people of the region.
The Commanders gave the assurance on Wednesday in Akure,Ondo state during a fifteen kilometer joint trek in honour of Late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
In January 2020 Late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu along side other southwest Governors championed the formation of Western Security Network, Amotekun.
However About Four years down the line,The man who was instrumental to the Formation,Late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu lost the battle to cancer on December 27,2023.

To honour him,commanders of Amotekun from all the south west state converged on Akure for a joint trek in honour of Late Akeredolu.
They said his death will not deter them from pursuing what Akeredolu stood for by ensuring safety of lives and property in the region.
Some Present and former Federal Lawmakers in ondo state also want the late Governor to be properly immortalised by both state and Federal Government.
The commanders say the contribution of late Akeredolu remains indelible in the fight against insecurity.
