The joint patrol team of Amotekun Corps for Ondo and Osun States in South-West Nigeria has rescued nine kidnapped victims at the Ilesha-Ipetumodu area of Osun State. The victims were kidnapped on Christmas Eve around 10.30 pm.

Ondo State Commander of Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye while briefing newsmen in Akure, the state capital said the victims were traveling in a commercial bus from Lagos to Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State when they suddenly ran into the barricade mounted by some kidnappers.

Adeleye who is also the head of all state commanders in the region said the kidnappers abandoned the victims when they sighted Amotekun operatives.
