The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it has perfected plans for a free, fair, and credible voting process on the Saturday, November 6 Anambra State governorship polls.
INEC National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Barr. Festus Okoye told AIT at the Commission’s Anambra State Headquarters in Awka that the polls will meet international best standards.
Okoye disclosed that the electoral umpire will transmit election results electronically, to enable the people to view results directly from the various polling units before it is declared through its official results portal.

The senior INEC official called on voters in the State to come out enmass to exercise their franchise, noting that the Commission in collaboration with the various security agencies has put in place necessary measures to guarantee their safety, before, on and after the elections.
Okoye assures the people of Anambra Stae that INEC will ensure that their votes count.
