Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo says politics is over and it is time to go back to governance.
In his first reaction after being declared the winner of last Saturday’s governorship election, Soludo downplayed his landslide win, chosing instead to offer the olive branch to his opponents.
He insists that what is important is moving along with the core issues of development for the greater interest of the people of Anambra State.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo, basking in the euphoria of the win, in company of his wife Nonye, stepped out to meet the people, describing the landslide sweep of the 21 Local Government Areas and 320 electoral wards of the 326 as historic. He thanked his people for standing by him.

He also assured of consolidating and accelerating his administration’s development strides
Governor Soludo also commended the INEC leadership and security agencies, and expressed grief on the unfortunate killing of an APGA chieftain and councilor in Orumba South local government area.
He thanked President Bola Tinubu for his democratic disposition, while extending an olive branch to his political opponents.
Soludo’s second term takes effect from March 17, 2026 for what he has tagged “Solution Continues”
