Operatives of the Anambra State Command of Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service, NHFSS have neutralised hordes of unknown gunmen in a battle at Umuem Anam, a camp identified as the hideout of criminals and set it ablaze.
The information which is contained in a Statement by the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service explains that the Service led by its Chief Security Officer, Ojukwu Umuoba- Anam acted on local intelligence and information from Vigilante group in the area to carry out the operation between Friday and Sunday.
In the battle that ensued, many of the gunmen were neutralized while two others were captured alive and handed over to the Police.
According to CSO Ojukwu who led the operation, some of the NHFSS operatives sustained injuries but none died during the battle.
Items found at the camp include human heads and other human parts, Lexus 350 and 2 AK-47 rifles which have been handed over to the Police.

The Statement added that CSO Ojukwu thanked the TC Chairman, Anambra East Local Government, Anselm Onuorah for his support to the NHFSS in the area, the Deputy Commander General, NHFSS in charge of Technical Services, John Metchie and the DPO of Otuocha Police Station were also commended for their support.
