The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has raised an alarm over what it describes as plots by an Anambra state high court Judge, to frustrate the appeal against his judgment on PDP Anambra State Governorship Primary Election.
The Party accused Justice O.A Nwabunike, of absconding with the case file on Senator Ugochukwu Uba vs PDP & Ors, thus violating order 16 rule 1(2) of the Anambra State Court civil procedure rules 2019.
In a statement signed by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, the party said that despite the 180 days provided by the constitution for hearing and determination of pre-election matters, the high court in Anambra state hastily concluded proceedings and delivered judgment within 14 days, thereby denying the defendants time to respond to the process served on them.

The Party is therefore demanding for an immediate release of the case file and all copies of the judgment delivered by Justice Nwabunike, while also calling on the chief judge of Anambra State Justice O.M Anyachebelu and the National Judicial Council, to urgently call Justice Nwabunike to order.
