The Anambra State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil defense corps (NSCDC), Maku Olatunde has charged the newly promoted officers of the Corps to take their assignments and responsibilities that come with their new rank seriously.
In a brief but colourful ceremony at the Command’s headquarters in Awka, the Anambra State capital where the personnel were decorated with their new ranks, Commandant Olatunde noted with pride that out of a total of 9,937 personnel promoted this year by the Board of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Service, the Anambra State Command of the NSCDC had 250 of its personnel as beneficiaries.
The State Commandant therefore urged these officers and men to reciprocate the gesture through hard work, dedication and commitment to duties, adding that “to whom much is given, much is expected.”
